Garbage collection will be digitized in Jaisalmer | Jaipur News

Jaisalmer: As one of its initiatives, the door-to-door garbage collection process in the city will soon be digitized. Jaisalmer District Collector, Pratibha Singh, to make the district clean and eco-friendly, has prepared a detailed plan for the “Eco-Friendly Jaisan” project.
As part of this project, the collected waste will be separated and disposed of into wet and dry categories.
District Collector Pratibha Singh said a plan has been drawn up for eco-friendly Jaisan which will be entrusted to an agency hired by the city council.
“Tracking the garbage collection process will be digitized. Garbage will be collected from approximately 10,000 homes in 45 neighborhoods. Each house will have a chip and a web application will be designed, which will be managed by hardware sensors and software,” she said.
Speaking about using technology to improve service, Singh said, “Technology will help track the status of garbage collection. The agency, after collecting the garbage, will confirm the status to the control room through the chip placed outside each house. If rubbish is not collected from the house, a complaint could be registered with the city council via the app. »
The project is expected to roll out within the next two months. tnn
