The Dutch site IamExpat, which has been providing information and advice to the international community in the Netherlands since 2009, has launched a new operation in Switzerland.
The Swiss website is the company’s second, IamExpat Media, outside of its head office. The German website launched in April 2019 and has received around four million unique visitors in the past 12 months.
âThere are so many different reasons why internationals all over the world live and work there, so the launch IamExpat.ch felt like a natural next step, âsaid co-founder Sergios Charalampos.
âIamExpat Media is founded and managed by expats, so we know the nature of the issues expats face is similar. But the ways in which these problems can be solved differ – sometimes considerably – from country to country, âsays Charalampos.
âSo we follow the same formula that we use for our other locations in the Netherlands and Germany, but tailored to the needs of the local expat community. “
Other extensions could be considered in the future. âOnce we believe our platform in one country is on the right track and has a significant impact on the lives of expats there, we start to evaluate other destinations,â Charalampos said. âWe favor quality over quantity. “
