Bold Predictions: Tennessee vs. South Carolina

Tennessee is heading into the home stretch of the 2022 season and GoVols247 is back with one of our game week staples: our Bold Predictions. The premise is simple, our four-man team picks two things we think will happen for the Vols in this week’s game, and the problem is, those predictions have to be somewhere between adventurous and unrealistic. After largely rebounding from the Georgia loss by blasting Missouri, fifth-place Tennessee hits the road again to take on SEC East rival South Carolina in Colombia (7 p.m., ESPN).

Josh Heupel Vols turned a close game into a blowout with a devastating 38-0 run after Missouri threatened to spoil the final at home by shooting 28-24 midway through the third quarter, and Tennessee remains at No. college football playoffs entering its final two games. South Carolina is playing its own final at home in this game and will be looking to bounce back from the heartbreaking 38-6 loss to Florida last week. The Gamecocks, who are 6-4, have been better in night games but also suffered double-digit home losses to Missouri and Georgia.

Having already made our score predictions for the matchour four-man crew patrick brown, Ben McKee, Wes Rucker and Ryan Callahan each makes a pair of predictions that we think might happen in the game and explains why we think they will. How did we do last week? Wes struck again thanks to Princeton Fan catching two touchdown passes, and Ryan got Hendon Hooker passing for 300 yards and three touchdown passes.
